Pre-blast surveys
Pre Blast Surveys provide the security of an independent study of properties near the construction area. These records may then be referenced to determine if the construction activity has had any affect on these structures.
Hartford Structural Inspections performs pre blast inspections, pre construction inspections, also called Building Envelope Surveys or Existing Condition Surveys. HSI is the industry leader in using High Definition Video and Photography. LED light is used to illuminate imperfections hidden in ambient light and shadows. All visible surfaces are recorded and audibly described, regardless of condition. A green laser light is also used to locate imperfections.
What is a Pre Blast / Pre Construction Survey?
A Pre Blast Survey is needed to provide a baseline record of all pre existing conditions of properties surrounding an excavation project that requires blasting, rock or Earth removal. These surveys are also performed before other types of excavation and vibratory work. Municipalities require that the Survey is offered before a contractor can start work. If you receive this offer of a survey, please respond within the given time frame. These codes are in place to protect all parties involved. HSI also performs Pre Construction Surveys to document the existing conditions of structures around any type of work site.
